TERMS
We have all the canna varieties listed in our on-line catalogue in stock at the start of the 2006 season, although we expect to increasingly run out as the planting season progresses. We can provide substitutions or not as the customer requests.
We provide full cultivation notes with each order. Our prices are per variety, and we supply 3 rhizomes of each variety. By selling 3 rhizomes per pack, any that fail to shoot (which is in the nature of cannas) are compensated by those that produce several shoots.
We take care with the quality of our products. Our customers are usually surprised to find that our rhizomes are bigger than rhizomes purchased from garden centres. Most importantly they are also correctly named. We do all we can to ensure that our cannas are healthy, and in this regard we sell rhizomes from stock that has previously not shown signs of canna virus disease.
Payment with order is required (cheque, credit card, cash). The preferred methods of payment are Credit Card or Cheque. We do not charge to a credit card or cash a cheque until the date of despatch. A cheque must be drawn in English Pounds on a Bank in England. It is the purchaser's responsibility to ensure that we receive the Credit Card information in a secure way. We guard the confidentiality of Credit Card information in accordance with the Credit Card “Data Security Standard"
Normally we despatch within 2 days of receiving the order. We use a 48 hour delivery service except by arrangement. Personal collection is welcome (deduct Delivery Charge). Our standard delivery charge applies to any weight package to most parts of the British Isles, but there is a surcharge for delivery to the following destinations: islands and highlands of Scotland, IoM, IoW, Channel Islands, Scilly, Northern Ireland. For details on these surcharges see our website delivery.htm. Where a customer places an order of value under £10.00 then we reduce the delivery charge to £4.50.
To minimise the possibility of a parcel going astray we always like to put the phone number of the recipient on the package, and for difficult-to-find addresses, or addresses where there is no house number, we like to provide extra instructions for the carrier, even to providing a map. We also like to be able to instruct the driver to leave the parcel somewhere if there is no-one at the address to receive it.
If the package has not been received within 10 working days of us receiving the order then please contact us in case it has gone astray. We can then trace the package before the trail goes cold. We are also able to provide consignment details to enable the customer to track the package himself on the Internet.
Our business practices conform to the mail order “Distance Selling Regulations” and to the Credit Card “Data Security Standard" (DSS).
