ORDERINGYou can use the on-line Shopping Cart method, or you can phone us with a Credit Card, or you can send us a cheque, or call and see us and choose the items personally. Details of these methods are as follows: THE SHOPPING CART METHOD The Shopping Cart method is very convenient, and gives very little scope for error. The Shopping cart method is also very secure, because nobody receives or sees your Credit Card details except Paypal, and they are the biggest on-line card transaction people in the business. It also saves us from the responsibility of storing your credit-card information safely at our premises, which we are obliged to do if we process your credit card details ourselves. Simply enter the number of items you require in the little box by each product. When you have entered all the items you require, then follow the instructions to take you to "Checkout". You are then taken to the secure Paypal site where you will be offered the option of paying by Credit Card or from a Paypal account. The Paypal account method is for those customers who already have a Paypal Account. You don't need a Paypal Account to use Paypal, because they will accept a payment by Credit Card from you even if you have no account with them. Simply follow the instructions. If at any time you wish to cancel what you have done, or want more time to reconsider, then just exit the procedure at any point. If you confirm the order then you will get an e-mail receipt directly from the Shopping Cart software, and also a receipt from Paypal, and both your order and payment will be forwarded to us. Even at that point, if you wish to change your mind, you can cancel the order and receive a full refund if you contact us before we have despatched your order. Similarly, if you think you've made a mistake in the ordering procedure, then if you contact us we can sort it out at our end. But you need to be quick to change your mind, in case we despatch the order in the meantime TELEPHONED ORDERS You can phone us, place an order verbally, and pay us by Credit Card. We accept all the common credit cards except for American Express. ORDERING BY POST. Please note that we do not receive visitors in person at this address. CALLERS Customers are welcome to call at our nursery and make purchases in person.If you wish to check that the item is exactly the right size for your requirement, then there is no substitute for seeing and choosing the items personally. Customers are sometimes surprised at how big some items are when they see them personally. Also, we have some products at our nursery which we don't necessarily show on our website. FURTHER NOTES Please note that the price you see in our catalogue is the price you pay. The price shown includes VAT. We also make our delivery charge quite apparent in our catalogue. You don't get any nasty surprises when you come to pay at the checkout. SALES OTHER THAN UK INLAND There is a delivery surcharge for sales to English Islands, Scottish highlands and islands, and Northern Ireland. We haven't incorporated this into the Shopping Cart yet, so please will customers phone us about this. Please note that we can't supply products outside the UK. |
DELIVERYAll items are carried in stock. If we are out of stock of any item, then we indicate this in the on-line catalogue as soon as possible. We normally despatch immediately, or at least within a couple of days. We use a 24 hour delivery service within UK Inland. Our standard delivery charge is £7.50 per order for any mix of items. We take great care to minimise the possibility of goods going astray during transit. For this reason we ask that customers provide the valid Post Code and also a phone number of the delivery address. We also very much appreciate any supplimentary information that can enable out-of-the way addresses to be located, and also any information on where the items can be left if there is no reply when the van calls. It is better if this is somewhere at the premises (eg in the porch, around the back), rather than at another address eg a neighbour. Some of our products are too big to be accepted by a delivery service at a reasonable cost. We can deliver locally in our van. Otherwise "buyer collects" is all that we can offer. |
TERMSWe require payment in advance for mail-order purchases. We may offer credit terms to official bodies who can not readily make payment in advance. Payments include VAT as appropriate and we can provide a VAT receipt on request. We ask that customers provide the correct Post Code for the delivery address, and also a telephone number for the delivery address. Sometimes a customer orders items which are too large for their requirements and wishes to exchange them. We are quite happy to do this, and we ask that the items be returned unused by the customer and at the customer's expence within a reasonable time (say within 2 weeks) of delivery. We can not undertake to arrange collection of items for return.
